ToBeWise Privacy Policy

ToBeWise is designed to be a private, useful, and respectful app. We do not sell your identity or usage data, and we do not use your app activity for advertising.
Information we collect
When you create an account or sign in, ToBeWise may collect your email address, display name if provided by the sign-in provider, and a user ID used to operate your account.
The app may collect limited usage data to help us understand whether ToBeWise is working well and where it can be improved. This may include app launches and resumes, install completion, sign-in or account creation events, Profile refresh events, notification schedule starts, notification counts, notification clicks, quote views, spoken quotes, share counts by method, ideas discovered, authors discovered, favorites count, deleted quote count, locally added quote count, app version, build number, device model, operating system, and whether the report came from a simulator or a physical device.
If you choose to report usage anonymously in the app, future usage reports omit your email address and display name and use an app-assigned anonymous ID instead. Anonymous reporting still sends limited usage data, but it is not shown to us with your email address or name.
If you submit feedback, contact us, or share a quote globally, we collect the information you choose to send so we can provide support, review submissions, and improve the app.
Information stored on your device
Some ToBeWise information is stored locally on your device, such as preferences, favorites, deleted quotes, locally added quotes, and local usage counts. Some summary counts may be included in the usage reports described above.
Website information
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site operation, analytics, spam prevention, and security. The website may use services such as Google Analytics, MonsterInsights, Jetpack, and Google reCAPTCHA. These services may process information such as pages visited, browser type, device information, approximate location inferred from IP address, and interaction with site forms.
How we use information
We use information to operate ToBeWise, authenticate accounts, provide app features, respond to support requests, understand app performance, improve the app, protect against abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your app usage data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your app activity to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Third-party services
ToBeWise uses service providers for app hosting, authentication, database storage, website hosting, analytics, and other operational needs. These providers may process information for us only as needed to provide their services.
If you use the iOS share sheet to send a quote through text message, email, X, Instagram, Facebook, or another service, that sharing action is handled by Apple and the selected third-party app or service. Their privacy policies apply to what happens inside those services.
Your choices
You can choose anonymous usage reporting in the Profile area of the app. You can delete your account in the app. You may also contact us to ask questions about your information or request help with account or data deletion.
Children
ToBeWise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and publish the new policy at this page.
